Collaborative Robot Implementation Case | Overcoming Skill Shortages with In-House Robotics Knowledge
A team of engineers and technical experts responsible for automating processes with new technology has been established!
At Assa Abloy Romania, keys are assembled. The assembled products are sent to Assa Abloy factories around the world to be finished into final products. In Bucharest, the capital of Romania, the unemployment rate is low, and this factory has been suffering from a significant skills shortage. The difficulty of attracting new employees to the manufacturing sector has pushed forward automation reforms. In-house robotics knowledge has been built around a team of engineers and technicians responsible for automating processes with new technologies. The team chose to combine Robotiq's 2-Finger Adaptive Gripper and wrist camera with the Universal Robot UR5 for the machine tending process. The robot places two parts onto a fixture, which are then welded by the machine. 【Overview】 ■ Products used: 2F-85 / 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers ■ Application: Machine Tending *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us via email at v.li@robotiq.com.
